La Zenia is an urbanization located on the eastern coastline of the Mediterranean, in the southernmost district of the province of Alicante, and 8 km south of the port city of Torrevieja.

The area is extremely popular during the busy summer season when it is a recognized and respected tourist destination. The many tourists are attracted by the excellent quality of the beaches and the abundance of excellent facilities.

And although La Zenia has fewer than two thousand registered inhabitants, that number is at odds with the exceptional popularity of the place, as tourists and seasonal visitors multiply this figure by up to six times during the summer months.

La Zenia, with only 1.9 km² of beachfront properties, may seem small at first glance, but the urbanization offers enormous quality in a respective small space.


La Zenia falls under the purview of the Municipality of Orihuela, which provides essential services such as waste collection and maintenance of public areas within the municipality.

The site is compact and borders Playa Flamenca to the north, the Cabo Roig beach district to the south and Los Dolses inland to the west.

It is very well connected, the N-332 coastal road runs through La Zenia from north to south, providing good access to the AP-7 motorway which runs parallel to the coast and provides free access south towards Murcia, or via the toll road for a faster route north to Alicante and beyond.
